Local Links

There's always a lot going on within the circuit and in our communities.

Each church is active in their local community - often with other churches, local schools, and community groups. We offer affordable rooms and communal spaces to community groups and organisations, and we now have a large number of groups and individuals using them for a variety of activities and purposes.

Serving Others

We additionally generously support a number of community outreach and world mission programs. It is important to us that we recognise opportunities to provide much needed aid and support to those who need it. Below there are some examples of causes that have been supported throughout the last year:

Learning and Fellowship

If you want to include learning and fellowship within your journey of faith then we offer plenty of activities that keep our members and guests engaged. While these are focused mostly on building social relationships, many include spiritual or worship-related content, or opportunities for service.

House Groups and Fellowship Groups meet during the week either in peoples homes or within the churches. They are places to get to know a small group of people better, to discuss issues, study the Bible, pray, to be encouraged and grow in faith.

Singing

Singing is the highest form of human expression, and expressing yourself and your beliefs is vital to worship. We promote singing as a truly wonderful therapeutic activity and there is a growing body of clinical evidence that can prove it!

If singing is something that you personally enjoy then maybe you would like to become involved in the SING FROM THE HEART group. They are based at Gainsborough Methodist Church, and are available to sing for local groups or in residential homes - you only have to ask.

Should you be inclined to join them ... The group has weekly sessions on Thursday. Practices are held at the Gainsborough Methodist Church between 11:30AM and 1:00PM, but times for singing at community venues may vary.
